SMT at EMO

SMT will be a part of the international trade fair for the metalworking industry at EMO 2019.

SMT will display information and videos showing the latest technology in large floor type machining centers and large horizontal lathes. Additionally, they will be displaying a 3D printed working model of a Horizontal Boring Mill with a rotary table. The Model is equipped with axis motors and connected to a Siemens CNC. The machine will be running a workpiece program.

SMT produces large floor type horizontal boring mills with Y-axis travels up to 33 feet, and can feature bar spindles are are up to 12 inches in diameter driver by an up to 200 HP high torque spindle motor. These floor type machines can also be equipped with rotary tables built by SMT with over a 1,000,000 pound capacity. In addition, SMT produces large multi-function horizontal lathes with part swing capacities to 20 feet and lengths to 50 feet.
