The high performance POWERTURN vertical turning machine is designed for use in general machining and flexible production. The high level of capability covers a broad spectrum of uses in turning, milling, drilling and grinding technology. The POWERTURN is available in size 39" – 196" (1000 – 5000mm). The fully enclosed guarding provides for a cleaner working environment.

• Tool changers with diverse concepts. This advanced tool exchange method allows the customer a broad choice in the number of tools used (20, 30, 45, 60, 75 or 96 places) as well as many alternative types of tool systems. This machine can be equipped with a variety of tool types from holders for conventional tools (1.5" x 1.5") to the automatic exchange of cutting heads for turning operations (Sandvik CAPTO C6, C8 or Kennametal KM 63, 80 and Widia – Valenite UT63). When live spindle machining is performed the customer can use the automatic tool change with ISO 50 (40), CAT 50, HSK 100 or Sandvik CAPTO C5. All tools can be exchanged in the vertical and horizontal orientation for the ultimate flexibility.

A pallet changer is available which can increase productivity by providing part changeover and setup off the machine during the machining cycle.
