The SKIQ vertical lathes are manufactured in a variety of sizes ranging from 39" to 98" (1000 to 2500mm) table diameters. They are available as turning machines with 1 or 2 heads or with the additional live spindle and C-axis for drilling and milling operations.

The characteristic feature of the SKIQ vertical lathe is the 15-position automatic tool changer tool magazine is located directly on the machine rail head. The tool magazine can contain turning tool holders, drilling and grinding spindles and angle heads.

The SKIQ vertical lathe sizes 10, 12, 16 and 20 can also be manufactured with the side head. The SKIQ 25 vertical lathe can be equipped with two rail heads. The AC main drive motor has 100HP as standard and 130 or 150 HP available.
