| CINCINNATI—Blake
Brown recently joined Pilsen Imports as a member of Pilsen’s
expanded Customer Support Team. His responsibilities include servicing
all makes of machines, including TOSHULIN, supplied by Pilsen.
A 12-year veteran of the machine tool industry, Mr. Brown began
his career by pursuing his degrees in Electronic Engineering and
Laser Optics at Cincinnati Technical College in Cincinnati, Ohio.
After earning his degrees, Mr. Brown worked for four years as an
electrical engineer, servicing and installing equipment for Cincinnati
Milacron Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Brown then moved onto a different
facet of the machine tool industry, where he spent his remaining
career in project management and quality control. It was Mr. Brown’s
machine tool industry background at Cincinnati Milacron that convinced
Pilsen Imports and Walker Machinery to add him servicing group.
“It’s very rare when someone with Blake’s experience
comes along. As we grow, our machine installation base grows and
our customers grow. And they (our customers) require expanded support.
Our salespeople were aware of Blake’s skills and knew he’d
be a great contributor to our customer support, so we asked him
to join our team.
Mr. Brown says he accepted the position with Pilsen Imports because
he identified with the company’s “customer first”
culture and saw an opportunity to work with a larger line of equipment
than in the past. “This opportunity opens me up to lathes
and other types of equipment and allows me to expand my knowledge.
The really great thing about Pilsen Imports is as soon as you say
you want to learn something new, they send you or bring in the right
people to train you. That allows me to grow with my customers and
develop long-term relationships. I can assist our customers with
many other machine tools as well.”
